KEYBOARDS: Heidi Wilson

Born in Sydney, Australia, Heidi grew up performing in school, community and church bands, musicals, choir, big bands, concert band and Jazz ensembles. Heidi began teaching piano and saxophone privately in 1996. Heidi graduated with a double degree BMusic/BEducation, majoring in piano performance, from
University of New South Wales in. While attending Heidi was the lead saxophonist in University Stage Band and Concert Band. In 2004 Heidi moved to London and held post of Deputy Head of Department at St Josephs College, Beulah Hill where she developed the music department to include an orchestra, two choirs, X-factor competitions, summer fete performances and a summer concert. Heidi moved to Sligo in Feb 2008 and has been teaching with SCMS since then. Her talents have been quick to be recognized here as she also teaches at Sligo Grammar School & Sligo Academy of Music. Heidi also participates as a musician/tutor in Sligo Music Education Partnership's “Live Music in the Classroom” programme.
